Frequently Asked Questions
HEIC needs a codec that Windows does not install by default, and older applications never added support. JPG has none of those problems.
Yes — in Settings, under Camera then Formats, choose "Most Compatible" and your iPhone will capture JPG instead.
Basic image data carries through, but some extended Apple-specific metadata is not preserved by the conversion.
The still frame converts. The attached video component is not included.
