The service

FreeTool provides free utilities for working with PDFs, images and text. The tools run inside your browser using your own device’s processing power.

The service is provided at no cost, with no usage quota and no account. We may add, change or withdraw individual tools without notice.

Your files and your responsibility

You keep all rights in the files you process. We claim nothing over them and never receive them.

You are responsible for having the right to process the files you use here. Do not use these tools to remove protection from documents you are not authorised to open, to infringe copyright, or to break any law that applies to you.

Because processing happens on your device, you should keep your own copy of any original file. A closed tab cannot be recovered by us.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the site to process unlawful material
• attempt to disrupt the site, or probe it for vulnerabilities without permission
• scrape or automate the site in a way that degrades it for others
• misrepresent the service as your own

No warranty

The tools are provided “as is”. We work hard to make them correct, and every tool ships with checks behind it, but we cannot guarantee that a given file will convert exactly as you expect. Browsers differ, and some source files are damaged or unusual.

Always check the output before relying on it, and never discard an original until you have confirmed the result.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, FreeTool is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the site, including lost data, lost profits or business interruption.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top of the page reflects the current version, and continued use after a change means you accept it.
