Always stored (no consent needed, no tracking)

One item, in local storage rather than a cookie:

• freetool-theme — remembers whether you chose the light or dark appearance
• freetool-cookie-consent — remembers whether you accepted or declined the analytics cookies described below
• freetool-recent-tools — a local list of tools you opened recently, so we can show a shortcut to them; this list never leaves your browser

None of these contain an identifier, are readable by any site other than this one, or are sent anywhere.

Only if you accept: Microsoft Clarity

If you click "Accept analytics" on the cookie banner, we load Microsoft Clarity, a session-recording and heatmap tool that helps us see which tools are confusing or broken. It sets its own cookies (typically named _clck and _clsk) to recognise repeat visits during analysis.

Clarity records how you interact with the page — clicks, scrolling, mouse movement — never the contents of any file you process, because your files are never sent anywhere for Clarity or anything else to see. If you decline, or ignore the banner, Clarity never loads and nothing is recorded.

You can change your mind at any time by clearing site data for freetool.co.in in your browser settings, which resets the consent choice and asks again on your next visit.

What we never store or send

There is no session cookie, because there is no login. There is no advertising identifier, and nothing here can follow you to another website.

Nothing about the files you process is stored anywhere in your browser once you leave the page.

Removing any of it

Clearing site data for freetool.co.in removes the theme preference, the consent choice, the recent-tools list, and any Clarity cookies in one action. The site then behaves as it does on a first visit.

Blocking storage entirely does not break any tool — the theme resets, the cookie banner reappears, and Clarity simply never loads.
